8.    Grand Knight’s Report

·        New ways to conduct meetings.

o   Circulate minutes prior to meetings – which we are already doing.

o   No reading through ‘gory details’ of each warrant. Bottom line, make things more streamlined.

o   Officers’ Meeting separate

·        Joe Dunn, Grand Knight for Nampa 2014, State Webmaster presentation. I will include the recording of the meeting with the minutes if those would like to review specifics.

·        Chancellor resigned due to health issues.

o   Nominations – Vocations head, keep touch with RSVP and other seminarians

·        Coats for Kids

o   Delivered used clothing from Boise Barbell club to Boise Rescue Mission

·        Pennies from Heaven approved last meeting and delivered to Bauer family

·        Cards to seminarians and gifts (passing around thank you letters)

Chad – Good meeting with family directors. Recognize Tom Schmidt for his work with the Food Bank.

Family of the Month – would like to start in our parish to recognize families each month. Allows to enter each a family to be recognized by the State and Supreme. Counts for 2 points to the Columbian Award. It is really easy to end up featured in the Columbia Magazine.

3 suggestions –

1.    Fischer Family – Ken has been spearheading Keep Christ in Christmas for the past 6 or 7 years, Special Olympics Raffle, Golf tournament

2.    Walker Family – includes the brothers Bob and Dennis Walker and Bob’s Wife Judy has helped with baby drive.

3.    Brady Family – Robin and his family have been active in Bingo, Coffee and Donuts, Golf Tournament, etc.

4.    Calivich Family – John and Angie

Fraternal Benefit – Jan 19th will be web event and put in bulletin

No honor guard at this time. If there is a need, we do have access to state members

Trey Schorr spoke about the remote available to meet about insurance and also do Fraternal Benefits Night.
